What is Specialist Carpet Cleaning?

Contract Maintenance Group provides a range of specialist carpet cleaning options. This includes Electrolytic Carpet Cleaning, Microfibre Carpet Cleaning and Dry Carpet Cleaning for products such as coir, sisal and seagrass.

Carpet Multi Cleaner’ (CMC) and Carpet Extractor – Deep Extract have been developed for the 21st Century carpet cleaning world, and produce stunning results on all types of carpet from wool blends through to the latest hi-tech fibres used in carpet tile science. There have been major changes in the construction of carpet and carpet fibre technology over the last few years, most notably commercial and domestic carpet has moved to a lower pile profile. Because of the denser packed pile airflow is reduced and in conventional hot water extraction cleaning the carpet can be left water logged.

CMC Electrolytic Carpet Cleaner is the only specialist carpet cleaning system that cleans, deodorises and protects against re-soiling for every type of carpet. The unique Specialist Cleaning Technology restores the ionic balance of the carpet fibres making their cleaning easier and faster, allowing carpets to be put back into use immediately. Once a carpet has been electrolytically cleaned it will have been restored to as near its original balanced state as when it was brand new.
The cleaned carpet will also not attract new soiling in the same way as a conventionally cleaned carpet, as it will not have a residual detergent residue or be positively or negatively charged and prone to attracting oppositely charged dirt and soiling to itself.

Combining CMC Electrolytic Carpet Cleaner with Micro-Fibre Bonnets and slow speed rotary machines, CMG can clean your facility daytime in quiet mode, this even applies to retail environments and call centres. Therefore it is an ideal method to use to clean and maintain any 24 hour use premises.
By getting this innovative technology working for you, your carpets will look great and stay that way longer.

Sisal, Sea Grass and Coir Carpet Cleaning

Natural bio-degradable sisal, seagrass and coir carpeting are gaining in popularity year-on-year for their attractive, aesthetic, feel under foot and green credentials.  However natural carpeting requires specialist knowledge and experience when it comes to their cleaning.
Sisal, Sea Grass and Coir carpeting and matting cannot be cleaned with conventional cleaning methods, as any excess moisture will strip out the natural dye of the fibre. Wetting such natural fibres can also cause the fibre to shrink or swell dramatically causing the weave of the carpet to be damaged irreversibly.  These problems are exacerbated when other fibres such as wool or mohair are used as part of the construction.

CMG – The Contract Maintenance Group use both the envirodri® and the HOST® systems to clean all types of sisal, seagrass and coir carpet, whether used as a design feature in an up-market clothes store or throughout one of the new Eco Hotels.
Many carpet cleaners will shy away from attempting to clean these natural products, due to their particular cleaning method often being water based.
Our experience with the care of natural carpets, is one of the reasons why companies such as Fired Earth use CMG to troubleshoot problems on natural flooring and recommend us to their clients and end-users.

How Do Low Moisture, Dry Extraction Carpet Systems Work?

The HOST® and envirodri® Systems:
• The HOST® Liberator®, Freestyle® or envirodri® Gen4 machines counter-rotating brushes combined with their integral cyclonic vacuum technology or by use of a separate, powerful, brush action vacuum cleaner, removes dry gritty soil that becomes trapped in open weave of natural fibre carpets.
• The large machine brushes revive the pile, putting the life back into any crushed fibres.
• The systems deep clean carpet and removes spots and spills effectively without any risk of them re-appearing later.
• envirodri® and HOST® Dry Carpet Cleaner Systems contain millions of tiny, absorbent sponge-like particles that contain trace amounts of water and cleaning agents deep clean by dissolving and trapping greasy, oily dirt.
• HOST® and envirodri® are safe to use because they do not contain bleach or acid and do not emit any noxious fumes.
• The Sisal, Coir or Sea Grass floor covering is left clean and dry as soon as the cleaning is done.
• envirodri® and HOST® leave no chemical residue behind to attract dirt and cause rapid re-soiling of the natural fibres.
• Both the HOST® and envirodri® Systems offer an excellent, hassle free cleaning process and the environmental benefits of using the systems make them the green carpet cleaning choice.

Grout Cleaning – An additional service

Both the HOST® and envirodri® Dry Extraction Carpet Cleaning Systems are simple and effective methods for deep cleaning carpet anytime without the inconvenience of getting it wet, but it can also be used to clean grouted tile floors.
The envirodri® System can be used to clean grout by use of the optional Black (stiff) brushes, whilst the HOST® System uses their own specific (red) brushes to undertake the cleaning process.
Cleaning & Maintaining Grouted Tile Floors Can Be a Challenge:
• Grout is a porous material that absorbs dirt and grease.
• Grout also absorbs liquids used for cleaning, making removal of the dirt difficult.
• After cleaning, the dissolved dirt can wick back to the surface making the grouting look dirty again.
HOST® and envirodri® Dry Extraction Systems on Grout:
• The HOST® Liberator®, Freestyle® or Reliant® and the envirodri® ‘Gen4’ machine’s counter-rotating brushes scrub the grout and dislodge dirt and grease.
• HOST® Dry Carpet Cleaner and envirodri® MicroSponges contains a balanced blend of water, detergents, wetting agents and natural ingredients that dissolve and trap dirt and grease.
• Both are safe to use because they do not contain bleach or acid and do not emit any noxious fumes.
• The grouting is clean and dry as soon as the cleaning is done.
• The envirodri® and HOST® systems leave any chemical residues behind, to attract dirt and cause rapid resoiling of the grout.
• For cleaning hard-to-reach areas, use the HOST® SpotZAPPER™ or similar style hand brushes.
The HOST® Extraction Cleaning System is manufactured by Racine Industries Inc. USA.
The envirodri® Carpet Care System is manufactured by Drizone Ltd, UK
