Planned carpet maintenance is the best way to keep your carpets looking good throughout their life and exceed manufacturer warranty periods.  Most carpeting rarely wears out,  it is usually replaced prematurely due to a lack of,  or incorrect cleaning and maintenance resulting in it looking so bad it is ripped up and dumped in a local landfill site.

Carpet maintenance starts from the day a carpet is laid,  when the building contractors carry out the hand-over clean the carpets should be professionally cleaned if dirty.  A quick whip over with an old tub vacuum and spot removal with whatever cleaning agent comes to hand can damage a carpet even before it is handed over to the client.

Correct vacuums should be specified for use by in-house or the sub-contracted daily cleaning company,  generally good quality twin motor upright vacuums will suit the brief and remove the damaging dry gritty soil that can prematurely age a carpet and result in fibre damage.

Customised Carpet Maintenance Programme

Contract Maintenance Group see the whole picture and consider the demands of each installation taking into account, traffic (type and volume) image (whether front of house or back office),  budget available and access with regards to seamless cleaning of the carpet with no down-time.  Training in-house personnel such as a caretaker in a school to use simple and effective carpet cleaning methodology,  or scheduled planned maintenance for a national multi-site contract or large single site office complex.

Whether cleaning a retail environment during opening hours or office block overnight,  our approach is the same.  Agree an appropriate time,  plan how each clean is conducted to cause little or no disruption to staff or clients,  liaise with on site staff and once the scheduled clean is complete obtain signed satisfaction report prior to invoicing.

Maintenance can be any frequency from weekly for a flagship retail store in a busy high street to six monthly visits for a small office with careful staff and no public profile to maintain.  Invariably most of our carpet maintenance contracts use dry carpet cleaning systems for guaranteed results and no drying times.

Planned carpet maintenance will protect the investment made in carpeting,  deliver a clean image to staff and clients,  ensure a healthier working environment and extend the life of the carpet and prevent the added pollution caused by dumping of old carpet into landfill.
